Chateau Musar was founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. In 1959, Serge Hocher became winemaker while he completed his winemaking studies at the 「University of Oenology」in Bordeaux. And he finalized the formula of Musar red wine and kept making fine wine from Lebanese Civil War . The wine of Chateau Musar are unique expressions with an ancient wine-making culture, all the vines have been cultivated from lebanon’s very high altitude Bekaa Valley over 6000 year’s old.
Chateau Musar 2012 has a dark burgundy colour, a nose of matured stone fruits, plums and figs with liquorice and spicy notes. It has big developed ripe fruit on the nose and a bold taste profile of juicy, black fruits plus mocha and leather and a beautiful lingering finish.
