Chateau Musar Red 2010

Chateau Musar was founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. In 1959, Serge Hocher became winemaker while he completed his winemaking studies at the 「University of Oenology」in Bordeaux. And he finalized the formula of Musar red wine and kept making fine wine from Lebanese Civil War . The wine of Chateau Musar are unique expressions with an ancient wine-making culture, all the vines have been cultivated from lebanon’s very high altitude Bekaa Valley over 6000 year’s old.

It is deep, rich garnet in colour with aromas of raisins, cedar, prunes and cinnamon. The 2010 is a savoury, herby wine with delicate spices and the raisiny, figgy aromas follow through to the palate. This is an elegant vintage with fresh acidity and a long, dry finish.
